1. Choose the exact item you need
Write down the model, size, colour, quantity and condition. Compare the same item elsewhere where possible. A retailer’s stated “was” price or recommended retail price is not necessarily what other shops charge today.
2. Find the price you can actually pay
Open the retailer’s offer conditions. Look for first-order restrictions, subscriptions, excluded products, minimum spend and expiry. Check the basket before payment. A code that cannot be applied to your order does not reduce its cost.
3. Work out the saving in pounds
Subtract the final payable cost from the comparable alternative. Include unavoidable delivery and the extras you need. Compare single purchases separately from subscriptions with recurring charges.
4. Ask whether you would buy it anyway
Spending £15 more to reach a threshold for a £5 discount increases your outlay unless you already need the extra item. Start with a budget and a shopping need, then use offers to help meet them.
How to use Pocket
Browse relevant brands, open the full offer and copy a code where supplied. Confirm eligibility and the final saving on the retailer’s website. Pocket does not independently test every code, cover every retailer or guarantee the lowest price.
